Jonathan Stockton

Jonathan Stockton

Director

Jonathan qualified from Liverpool in 1985 and worked in mixed practice in north Cheshire before moving to Skipton in 1986. His main interests lie in cattle fertility and lameness,and in sustainable worming programmes for sheep. Outside of work his interests are sport orientated; either watching (live or on TV) and coaching rugby union up at Wharfedale RUFC inThreshfield. He has also been known to referee on occasions!  During the summer he can often be found at Embsay CC helping with ground maintenance, teas and supporting the team. Other hobbies include biking, both on and off road, walking his three dogs in the fantastic surrounding countryside, helping his son Adam look after a small flock of sheep and trying to keep the garden under control.
Andy Barrett

Director

Andy Joined the farm team at Kingsway vets in 1994 after working for James Herriot for six years. He holds the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons Certificate in Cattle Health and Production and Liverpool University’s Diploma in Bovine Reproduction. He is particularly interested in herd and flock health and fertility. Married to Karen Andy has a bit more free time now his children have grown up which he spends cycling, kayaking, climbing and hill walking, swimming and gardening.

Mark joined Kingsway vets in the beginning of 2007 to concentrate on farm animal work after working for two and a half years as a mixed animal vet in Otley. Before university he took a year out from education to work on a dairy farm in New Zealand. He qualified from Liverpool University Vet school in 2004 and during that time played hockey for the faculty and represented the university at Archery. Mark comes from a family farm in Lancashire and is one of four brothers all who have strong links to agriculture. Away from work he enjoys swimming, walking and cooking.

Adam Montgomerie

Director

Adam graduated from Edinburgh from 2009 and worked in farm practice in Lancashire before crossing the border to Yorkshire to join Kingsway in October 2010. A farmer’s son from Ayrshire he grew up on a dairy farm while also helping out on his grandfather’s beef and sheep farm. His interests include dairy fertility work and herd health. Outside of work Adam enjoys swimming, hill walking, ice hockey and following Ayr United FC

Tom Green

Tom Green

Veterinary Surgeon

Tom joined Craven Farm Vets just before Christmas 2017 to concentrate on farm animal work after spending two and a half years as a mixed practice vet in Boroughbridge. He studied Animal Science at Sutton Bonington before moving onto Bristol University Vet School where he qualified in 2016. Tom grew up on his family’s farm in Lincolnshire with sucklers and sheep. Outside of work Tom spends his time tending his allotment or walking in the dales.

Sarah Gregory

Veterinary Surgeon

Sarah graduated from Liverpool in 2021 before starting work down in Dorset. She then spent a spring season working as a Vet in Dairy heavy Southland, NZ before moving back home to Skipton to join Craven Farm Vets. She is shadowed by her flat-coated retriever Gus, and newest recruit Juno. After work she’s probably headed to the gym, but also enjoys playing netball and skiing.

Emily Halsall

Emily Halsall

Veterinary Technician

Emily started at Craven Farm Vets in January 2021, she qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2013 after training at Kingsway Veterinary Group. Since qualifying, Emily has worked in an orthopaedic referral practice and worked for a year on two pedigree sheep farms.
She enjoys wild swimming, walking her dog Ruby and Crossfit.
Gareth Foye

Large Animal Foot Trimmer

Gareth Joined Kingsway in June 2012 and works as the resident foot trimmer. He previously worked in the area as a self employed trimmer. He is hoping to start a freeze branding service. Gareth is fully licensed (Category 1) with the NACFT and has continued his professional development by attending biennial Professional Foot Trimming Check days and a Mobility Scoring course led by Jo Speed, Dairy Co, ensuring a continued high standard of trimming.  Out of work his interests are listening to music, film watching and walking his dogs Diesel and Keisha.

Large Animal Foot Trimmer

Ian joined Craven Farm Vets in March 2019. A farmers son from Beamsley he graduated from Harper Adams in 2015 with a 2:1 in Agriculture with Farm Business Management and has worked on a variety of dairy and arable farms since. Ian recently acquired his foot trimming NACFT Dutch diploma. When he gets opportunity he likes helping on his parents farm, bouldering, spending time with his family and walking his dog Jazz.
