Veterinary Technician

Our Veterinary Technician service complements the veterinary work we provide and provides assistance for farmers with some of the extra jobs which require a bit more time, something that is usually in short supply on busy modern farms.

We also provide an objective, independent opinion for tasks like locomotion scoring, which some farm assurance schemes prefer to be done by external organisations. Some of the services that Mel, our Veterinary Technician, carries out include:

• Calf disbudding, weighing and vaccinating
• Dairy cow body condition, teat and mobility scoring
• Freeze branding and clipping out
• Vaccinating cows
• Clipping sheep for small flocks
• Assisting at TB testing
